Strong Marking Centre Half Forward Calls It A Day
In a shock announcement on the eve of the 2010 Pre Season Training Sessions, Hill's Supertiger Matt Ormsby has shocked team mates by announcing his retirement from AFL Masters Football.Following post 2009 season knee surgery he established that his surgeon reattached his leg incorrecly and he now runs in circles...some have said how is that any different?...the difference is that he can now only run onto his left side and that has never worked, hence his forced retirement.
Matt will be sorely missed by all at the Supertigers and the search is now on to fill that Centre Half Forward position.
With considerable room in the salary cap due to Ormsby's departure negotiations are now underway with recently retired AFL champion Richmond's, Matthew Richardson.
